Radstock Potting Shed Project gets a helping hand from Somerset Masonic Charities
 

The Potting Shed is a supported gardening project based at Leigh House in Radstock. They work with various groups to develop the garden, learn new skills, enjoy the fresh air and exercise and meet new people.

At present they are working with groups of carers via The Carers Centre and with Swallow Charity which supports adults with a learning disability.
 

They have had a great initial year and seen the garden transformed. Vegetable and salad crops have been a success, with growers enjoying the produce they have sown and harvested. They have been able to offer surplus for sale locally and hope to build on this next year with fruit and cut flowers as well. They rely on volunteer support and funding to run their projects and develop the garden and they hope to be able to offer more sessions to other vulnerable groups in the community next year. This donation will go a long way to help with their endeavours.
