Freemasonry has been active in Somerset since 1725. Today there are some 4500 members meeting in 88 lodges across the Province. We are constitutionally part of the United Grand Lodge of England, the premier grand lodge of regular freemasonry.

Regular freemasonry is an international organisation of some 6 million members. It is a secular society open to men of any race, religion, political belief and status.
