The Province has a major responsibility to encourage and support all brethren to take a greater interest in and increase their commitment to masonry. Masonic membership is to be enjoyed and in part this can be enhanced by increasing knowledge and skills both as a Mason and by progressing through the Offices of the Lodge.

A major component of support is the Mentoring scheme whereby experienced brethren in each Lodge have the task of befriending and supporting new members through the early stages of their Masonic career and thereafter ensuring that they can access the skills and advice as they progress towards the Master's Chair.

A programme of seminars is provided through the year. Of particular interest and help is “Preparing for the Master’s Chair”. This is designed for Deacons and Wardens and gives useful guidance and reassurance. Participants rate this as very helpful preparation.

The Provincial Mentor will be pleased to receive suggestions for seminars and materials that brethren would find helpful. For upcoming dates for the Master's Chair and other Seminars, click here

There is an enormous amount of knowledge and wisdom in the Province and the addition of a properly prepared Oration will help it to surface for everyone's benefit. This is just what Orations are intended to do – to allow us all to contribute to a better understanding and knowledge of the Craft.

For more information on the work of the Provincial Orator, please visit the Orator's page or contact Frank by email to discuss a potential date for your Masonic calendar.
